Enjoying Life at The Cape
The Cape is ideally located between the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean and is a part of the country commonly known as "the Coastal Carolinas". We are just one mile north of the Snow's Cut Bridge that takes you over the Intracoastal Waterway onto Pleasure Island. Our community is ideal for both retirement couples and active families.
Where is The Cape community located?
Living in The Cape positions residents within minutes of sinking their toes into the warm sand of our local beaches. Just south of us, and over the Snow's Cut Bridge, is Pleasure Island. There you'll get to experience the fine white sand of Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher. Pleasure Island abounds with miles of beach, including two you may enjoy with a 4x4 vehicle. Pleasure Island offers the amazing North Carolina Aquarium and historical sites at Fort Fisher. To enjoy the simplicities of life, drive down to Fort Fisher, (less than ten miles); and take a relaxing ferry ride over to Southport for a day trip. We're also located just seventeen miles south of Wrightsville Beach, a wonderful retreat for family and friends.
The Cape Community is just fourteen miles south of Wilmington's vibrant Riverfront in the downtown historic district.
In downtown horse drawn carriages await you and you'll find wonderful restaurants to dine, fine art galleries to browse and river boat cruises that will take you upriver where you can go back in time to experience life as the early settlers did.
.
The Cape residents enjoy in excess of seven miles of private streets, where friends and neighbors can be seen daily: walking together, walking their pets, running, bike riding and socializing outdoors. We have a quiet and beautiful community. Whether you live among us, golf with us or are just visiting, thank you for choosing The Cape!
