Welcome to The Cape

The Cape is ideally located between the Cape Fear River & the NC Coastline, just one mile north of Snow's Cut Bridge crossing over the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway onto Pleasure Island. Living in The Cape positions residents within ten minutes of sinking their toes into the warm sands of Carolina Beach. Pleasure Island takes you down the coastline contiguously adjoining Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher. Pleasure Island abounds with miles of beach, including two you may enjoy via 4x4 vehicle. Pleasure Island offers the amazing North Carolina Aquarium and historical sites at Fort Fisher. To enjoy the simplicities of life, drive down to Fort Fisher, (less than ten miles); and take a relaxing ferry ride over to Southport for a day trip.

The Cape Community is a mere fourteen miles from the Wilmingtons Riverfront in the downtown historic district, where a horse drawn carriage awaits you, there are wonderful restaurants to dine, and fine art galleries to browse. The Cape, also located just seventeen miles south of Wrightsville Beach, is a wonderful retreat for family and friends.

The Cape Community is ideal for both retirement couples and active families. The Cape is situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Fear River, a part of the country commonly known as “the Coastal Carolinas”. The former Cape Golf & Racquet Club has received a new life as Masonboro Country Club – a world class premium public golf course. The new course, designed by architect Bob Moore of JMP Design Group, reopened late last year and features MiniVerde Bermuda greens, 80 acres of turf newly sodded with 419 Bermuda grass, and bunkers filled with the same sugar-white sand as found at Augusta National. The berms, grassy shallows, and natural elevation changes create drama and beauty through the 7,000 yard course. Five sets of tees allow players of every ability to enjoy the challenge. Masonboro Country Club also boasts a 7 acre driving range, practice putting green, and a high caliber short game practice area as well. A temporary pro shop is in place and open for operation. For more information please call 910-397-9162 or visit www.masonborocountryclub.com. Masonboro Country Club is proud to be a part of The Cape community.

The Cape residents enjoy in excess of seven miles of private streets, where friends and neighbors can be seen daily: walking together, walking their pets, running, bike riding and socializing outdoors. We have a quiet and beautiful community. Whether you live among us, golf with us or are just visiting, thank you for choosing The Cape!
